Contemporary residence with strong horizontal lines embedded into hillside, featuring central courtyard and seamless terrain integration.
This contemporary residence is defined by strong horizontal lines, clean geometry, and a seamless integration with the natural hillside. Both levels are partially embedded into the terrain, with rear spaces functioning as basements. A central internal courtyard brings natural light and ventilation to these areas, creating a visual and spatial connection throughout the home while preserving privacy.
The façade combines stone, white plaster, and expansive glazing, balancing solidity and transparency. Vertical planting at the front enhances privacy and softens the composition. Floor-to-ceiling glazing on the upper level frames the landscape, while the extended roof overhang provides shade and emphasizes the design’s horizontality.
Minimalist, elegant, and thoughtfully connected to its surroundings, the residence offers a distinctive spatial experience through its careful treatment of light, materiality, and terrain.
